Jamie Rickard
Professional Interior Designer
With 12 plus years of experience in the Design Industry, Jamie felt it was time to return home to Grand Junction, CO to share her passion for Design.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2008, she began to look for her fit in this vast industry.
With it being 2009 and in Denver, CO where the housing market was at an all-time low, Interior Design jobs were scarce. Realizing that her passion was in residential design, she kept her options open and eventually found a wonderful middle ground working for one of the country's largest home builders, Richmond American Homes. During her 9+ years at RAH she climbed the corporate ladder starting at the bottom and working her way to leading a team that handled more than 20 projects consecutively across the country. While she loved this job and all the travel that came with it, she knew she was missing something. Jamie is a people person! Working in the corporate environment and designing Model homes that nobody lived in started to feel a little hollow. Her dream was to connect design with real living people. So, after 10 years she left. It was a hard transition, but a necessary one.
In 2017 she found Megan Hudacky and CKY design. She worked at CKY creating high end residential design projects that thrilled clients and have been published in multiple magazines. Best of all she had clients! Real people with real design problems. During this time Jamie established Tall Chair Design, her own design business! Through Tall Chair Design she worked on several projects around the Denver area learning and growing with each of them.
By 2020, Jamie moved home, back in Grand Junction where she was raised! Now, with all the tools she needs to hit the ground running. She is working on residential projects big and small throughout the valley.
In 2021 she added staging to her offerings and has been busy working with realtors space planning and rearranging homes to appeal to the most potential buyers who will pay the highest possible price. She owns beautiful modern furniture, art, and accessories that help with new or vacant properties.
